Inspired by the fleur de
lis, a historical symbol originating in France, this fireplace screen features
a glasswork pattern reminiscent of this powerful French symbol. Each piece of stained glass has been soldered
together using the copper foil method made famous by Louis Comfort Tiffany in
the early 1900s. With so many colors it
will accent many different decors! It serves as a wonderful way to cover up
your fireplace when not in use. For illumination, place candles behind the
screen for soft lighting. When fireplace is in use, please place screen at
least 2 feet away to avoid damage to glass. A variety of glass types, including rippled and striated, add texture and dimension. Clean with a damp cloth or with lemon oil polish, dry with a clean, dry cloth. Upon receiving your product, should it come with excess oil, please wipe it off gently with a soft cloth. Excess oil is used as the final part of the lamp making process, giving the glass a scratch-resistant shine and protection for long- distance delivery.
